Humanoid robots have drawn renewed attention this year as companies such as Agility Robotics, Tesla, and Figure AI showcase machines walking, running, and handling warehouse tasks

Qualcomm kicked off the show Monday morning by announcing a full suite of robotics technologies, designed to power everything from small household robots to full-sized humanoids. It's calling this full-stack architecture, which integrates hardware, software and AI, the Dragonwing IQ10 Series.

Guangzhou Auto Group is set to begin small-scale production of its humanoid robot, GoMate, in 2026. The robot has already been shown in demo environments and is now being prepared for real industrial use. The company is focusing on automotive and logistics applications.

Vehicle maker Hyundai says it plans to use humanoid robots to build cars from 2028.The South Korean-based firm will join the likes of Tesla and BYD in using human-like robot forms to help production.
