It's fantastic to see young people making a positive difference, not only in our own community but overseas too! Today, two of our fire cadet units handed over 110 torches after working hard for weeks to raise the money to buy them. The torches will be taken by a team of burns nurses to Tanzania next week, where they'll help keep people safe. The trip has been organised by Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust's charity Bright Northumbria, which supports a medical centre in Tanzania. Good
